I don't usually get to embarrassed with things but after the 2008 Olympics I really got into gymnastics. Many people think its just for the girls. But I was also very fascinated by the sport and how some people could train themselves to be that athletic at such a young age. I've always been a big fan of baseball, basketball, and football. Those were my main sports growing up but I've liked gymnastics for quite some time. If someone wants to make fun of me for then that's there problem. because if I had it to do over again I would have gotten into gymnastics a long time ago.

That's actually pretty cool. I feel like in today's age, gender-based stereotypes are largely reserved for elementary aged children and much older generations. I got my ears pierced in high school and the only person with anything negative to say about it was my high school basketball coach. Not a single one of my peers tried to embarrass me over it, nor would I have been embarrassed if they had. We live in a different age than during our parents' and grandparents' time.
I agree with both of you. I think we live on a time where we have to find the one thing that makes us happy; and Alex, I think it is pretty cool that you got into gymnastics, it completely breaks the stereotype. And Cole, I agree with what you: we live in a different age than our parents'. If we stopped to think about what others would think of us all the time before doing or trying something new, we would never get anything accomplished.
