I use these forms of non- verbal communication every day in costume creation and character development. When creating something like a greaser I first think about what the main characteristics are. For example when I picture a greaser I picture greasy slicked back hair, a hair comb, black leather jacket, rolled up pant legs, and a cigarette behind the ear. If i saw someone with that kind of wardrobe I would automatically think, "oh they must be a greaser".

It's interesting how clothes can equate to a certain stereotype. I love your costumes and how you use them as a way to show society that clothes and material objects don't make who you are.
