College-age students should not be used in research about romantic relationships. This is because upon entering college, most students are just gaining experience about what romance is. Usually, they have not been  exposed to romance and love in a deeper, more meaningful sense. A college student doesn't know the difference between love and lust a majority of the time and it can blind their sense of judgement. This lack of judgement would impair any research and invalidate it. If I had to give a good age to conduct research over romantic relationships it would be between the ages of 24-36 roughly. I feel this is the range where romance is abundant and can yield great results.

I do agree that college students are lacking sound judgement when it comes to romantic entanglements, but I still feel that they should be included in the research pool. Their lifestyle and mindset simply offers another variable to be compared to the other age groups.

I semi agree with that. I guess the weirdest part about writing this is knowing that we are talking about ourselves. Have we lost faith in ourselves to still find true romance.... and in the right order :)

I agree that we may lack judgement and we tend to confuse lust and love, however not including college students in a research is pretty much saying that anything we could contribute would be obsolete anyways so why bother? Although many of us lack the ability to keep our head on straight from one day to the next and we are changing from week to week and year to year,

we still have things that could be beneficial. For example, the ways we change and look for a partner. And we mustn't forget the slim few who seem to have their heads and straight and pick a keeper while still in the early stages of their college career.

I didn't expect this much backfire from saying to exclude college college students. But I still stand by my point. If you were a researcher and given a budget and could only choose a specific age group of people to survey, would college student be your first choice? I would take experience over chance any day.
