Dalton, Ty, Mary, DJ, Alex

1.      Seeing the horrible circumstances that he went through in the past, and the way that some people are treated in India really enhanced the experience.

2.      Jamal never had a time where he encountered the motto of the country because he was lacking in education. The motto means nothing to Jamal, but he’s still tells the truth throughout the movie. Salim and Prem Kumar do not put any thought into the motto. The title Slumdog Millionaire combines two opposites; we believe that Danny Boyle chose this title because of the irony from it. Being rich in this sense is being with Latika and being happy.

3.      Jamal has a lot of tenacity and perseverance whenever it comes to most situations. This is well portrayed by the scene where Jamal jumps into the sewage.

4.      The train symbolizes a way to get away from their past, the train station is where they will always be able to meet up and go toward their future.

5.      Money: greed and power for Salim, a necessity for life for Jamal and Latika. Latika wearing yellow symbolized the happiness of them meeting up. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: It’s supposed to symbolize a way away from the past, but it’s actually showing the corruption behind the show and India as a whole.
