There's a large difference between pornography and soliciting sexual acts. One is protected by the law because it's a healthy way to get out extra sexual urges other than going out and buying a prostitute. Prostitution is dangerous and unwise, so sex shops and other places that sell sexual things help take away a bit of the thirst for fulfilling lust that America has acquired.
