To talk to someone who doesn't share the same views on life as you is an enriching experience. I genuinely enjoy learning about different religious preferences, lifestyles, and backgrounds. As long as the different views don't become points of heated argument then I am more than happy to be a part of a discussion with someone with opposing views. There's no point in cutting yourself off from possibly broadening your horizons because you're too into your ideals to respect someone with another opinion. Why would you want to not learn more?

I share your posture, I do get uncomfortable when the other person takes the discussion too personal and starts thinking that all I want to do is attack them.

I agree Dalton!

And Fernando you are completely right. When one party begins to take things the wrong way things can get pretty nasty very fast.

Talking to people who don't have the same beliefs or views as you is an "enriching experience" indeed!
