I love talking to both types of people. I enjoy talking to people who have the same sort of views of life as I do because it's always nice to find common ground with people; we can agree on the things that are important to us and at the same time learn from each other on how we can improve our lives.
I also really enjoy talking to people who have a different view on life than I do. Talking to these people is always really interesting. I love finding out how people view life and at the same time try to understand why they see life the way that they do. It's always cool to recognize how different individuals can be. It reminds me of how diverse the world is. I feel like talking to these people also helps me grow as an individual as talking to people with differing views than mine requires me to be understanding and non-judgmental even though I disagree with them. At the same time, I could probably pick up some good lessons from their views of life and hopefully they can learn from mine too.
I definitely think that talking to people who have differing views on life than one's own is a very growing experience. I definitely learn to be more understanding and open-minded, as I previously mentioned, but the growth doesn't necessarily stop there. For instance, when I talk to someone who has a different view on life compared to mine, I am challenged to examine why I view life the way that I do. From there, I can pinpoint changes that need to be made if there are any. This process strengthens my beliefs and view on life.

I feel like it is important to talk to people who view differently than I do as well. Iron sharpens iron and the only way you can really sharpen yourself as a person is to engage with people who are a little different in their thoughts as you.
