I feel I can talk with authority about this topic because my past two romantic relationships have been distance relationships. Once I used to think that the old saying , ''out of siight, out of mind'' was true, but as I have grown in experince I have figured out that distance relationships can be successful. Undoubtedly, this kind of relationships require a lot of time, effort, and trust. The ways I communicated with my significant another were through social networks and Iphone apps. I would leave a nice phrase every now and then on their Twitter page, I would post a picture with him as my Facebook propic, I would comment his photos, and I would Skype with him every time I could. Actully we would have skypedates, like he would bring his food and I would bring mine so that we could eat together and see each other through Skype. He would call and text me everyday through Viber, which is an app for smartphones. Also, I would wear any jewelry he gave me in order to feel that I have him close, I guess. Now that I hink about, it might sound crazy and stupid at some point because I was investing time, thoughts, and feeling on somebody that is not even in the same place where I live. However, the security that he gave me, how he showed his interest on me even though he was far away, and the love that I felt for him were the reasons what kept  me attached to the relationship.
