Social media has granted the likes of me these days with instant feedback on what personally I am doing in my day to day life, as well as the opportunity to gain insight into the lives of others. Nowadays, anytime my girlfriend and I go out and do something, or have dinner somewhere, it is instantly uploaded to Facebook the moment we return from it. Here's the great thing though, while her and I are out, whether it be to dinner, a movie, or just at the park, we both leave our cell phones in the car so that we can focus on each other and each other only. There are no distractions from the social media aspect and we sort of, in a way, cut ourselves off from the outside world. I think that by doing this, we gain so much more from one another and are not distracted while enjoying each others company.
