Alix_7.1_OL

I don't usually get out much and I don't tend to have full on conversations with other people about their personal lives. It's typically the "Hi, How are you, Oh Cool, Well got to go" jabbering that I encounter. But when I do listen, and oh boy do I listen well, I hear things that may seem conspicuous on several levels. I often think to myself, there is no way in hell that person is doing THAT good in life, with grades, etc. I feel we may stretch the truth when it comes to revealing our personal lives to another person who isn't that personal to us. (Too many "persons") But I also feel there is always a grain of truth in telling our stories, where we come from, who we plan to be. We intend to make ourselves look the best, always, putting our foot down and exclaiming that we are the best, even if the case is not so. Welcome to the human interface, would you care to join us?

I like how you said this. It's a very good point that most people only tell stories to look good. Is it possible that their egos won't let them tell a story any other way? I think it's best to laugh at myself when I mess up and do something wrong.

I think it has happened to all of us at some point. We don't really like people who may not be that close to us to find out who we really are.
