I am a very anti-social person and have made few friends in this state, so I cannot get specific with types of conversations I have had recently. However, in my home state, I do have friends whom I would have deep convertations with about many things, being their current relationships with lovers, parents and other friends and I did not view them as being "stupid, bad, or egotistical" as the book implies. They were just using me and others as a heathy way to vent out frustrations or concerns. This does not put them in a bad light in my mind, just a human flawed like all others surrounding them. Friends are special.
