I really like the topic if personality because it ties in with what we discussed in our previous essay and in church this morning! In talking about our influences, I have come to realize that ties in with our personality. We have a lot of things that we do sometimes that aren't always the best thing in the word, but we do them because we either weren't taught right, we want to rebel, or we are discovering who we are. My question for you is if our personality can change over a period of time? Does it change when we mature or will it always stay the same?

I asked a similar question to my professor when we took the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator test (you would have taken it for CI). I agreed with everything it said about me, but originally I would have said that I was a feeler versus a thinker. When my mother died, I became much more logical than emotional over most of life's issues, so I wondered if a significant event could change a person's personality. My professor told me that as far as researchers know, your personality will not change. You always have a certain amount of inherent traits, and certain events may tip the scales in one direction, but your personality remains unchanged. Still, just because this is the opinion of researchers does not mean it is true...
