I think my post is going to sound much like the others, but I believe it's because we have no reason to speak about the back of our hand on a daily basis unless you get some gnarly road rash on it or something happens to it.

Maybe instead of spending life taking language and the way we use it to create experiences for granted, think about the special opportunity that we have as intellectual beings to be able to do so. Also, let's come up with a name for the back of your hand...
