To display affection for loved ones is not a bad thing. Excessive and vulgar physicalization moves out of the realm of showing love and into being downright nasty. Couples have the right to express themselves through kissing or hugging or even holding each other in public, but it's important to remember that when you're out in public, everyone can see you. There has to be mutual respect between the couples and the people around them: the couples in a way where they won't go too far, and the people around to not get offended and draw unnecessary attention to a loving partnership. What should be (in your opinion) the social norm? What goes too far for the status quo?
