Judging from the context, the term "hooking up" means sex and in the music world of sex; men are the most explicit. However, sexist it may be but still to this day it is still a mans world, but women are starting to get equal footing. But anywho  when girls talk about hooking up its basicly the same as when a guy does it. I mean really think about it, its the exact same body parts that are invaled in the guys songs just the person talking about it is female. Control, power, ability to satisfy,dependency, neediness. both sexes wana be the one in control to a certain exstint and that really depends on ones personality. Dependency and neediness girls call it love guys call it being whipped. so all in all we are the same and play the same games just have  a few different names.
