I think that the things that to this day remaining unnamed are that way for a reason; so that they are left up for ones personal interpritation and name. Now my question is opposite of the original question. Why do items in our world have the names they do?

Because people have to claim everything with a name and get credit.... Duh Ty.... :)
I think it may be because people wanted to be able to talk about things and have others understand to witch they are referring to, when it is not present at that time.
