Physical appearance is a huge issue to me. I've struggled with trying to have the perfect body since forever it seems! It has always been a centering issue to me because of how guys or other people have once reacted. Since I had always been "the fat kid" it was a huge adjustment to come here and no one know me in that way. Before I left town I had multiple discussions about physical appearance with an adult. One of my kids has gained a lot of weight and she had seemed to completely let go. Four days before I left we had a lake day and we talked about the amount of food that she had consumed. Two Hamburger, a hot dogs, brownie, two bags of chips, and three cookies later she decided she was done. In the back of my mind I wondered if people talked about me in a odd way when I ate large amounts of food. I do constantly worry about what I eat in front of people because I don't want to be perceived as fat or a person of poor judgement.
All of these experiences that I have had most defiantly tie into social matters. People can be so judgmental and one thing can lead to another when a person with a problem realizes that people are talking about them. When I was larger just the raise of the lip or scrunch of the nose will help me decide to skip a meal. In closing, because this is such a personal matter to me I would encourage you to think about how to react to anyone's personal appearance, if they are large or skinny, it doesn't matter. Anything can set off an alarm to a person, even more so since we live in a world that revolves specifically around physical appearance. Think before you act! Everyone is human.

I was writing a paper for Humanities and I discovered how the importance was highly taught since the Neolithic Age, It is no surprise that this pattern continues to exist in today's society.
